Walking to the hotel:

  • When you disembark from the train, go into the AMTRAK station
  • Continue walking straight through the station and exit out the front door of the station.
  • Turn left and walk to the street, which will be 5th St.
  • Turn right at 5th St. and walk about 2 blocks to J St.
  • Turn right on J St. and walk 2 blocks to 3rd St.
  • The hotel is on the corner of J and 3rd St.
Transportation to and from the airport

There are seven airport auto rental companies:  Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz and National

Taxi service from the airport to downtown is approximately $25. If at least 3 people take a taxi together, the cost is cheaper than taking the SuperShuttle individually.

The blue SuperShuttle vans run a regular service between the airport and downtown. The fare is approximately $12 one way.

Yolobus runs a city bus between the airport and downtown, leaving hourly and stopping within 2 blocks of the meeting hotel. The fare is $1.25 one way. This is a great low-cost option if you can handle your bags easily.

Transportation around Sacramento

The Dash Trolley is a free service to hotels, museums, shopping & dining, covering Old Sacramento, Downtown Plaza and the K Street Mall areas.  11 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily. Weekdays every 15 minutes, weekends every 30 minutes.

To travel outside of the downtown area, use the light rail or city bus system. The Sacramento Regional Transit site provides schedules, routes and fares.
