Joint Meetings | Continuing Education | MeetingsContinuing EducationThe Continuing Education (CE) Committee is responsible for planning all NCNMLG CE courses offered during the year other than at the Joint Meeting. There are 1-2 CE classes held per year (usually in October and/or April). Continuing education opportunities sponsored by NCNMLG are planned, organized learning experiences designed to augment the knowledge, skills and attitudes of those who work in health sciences libraries, to enhance library practice, education, administration or research and to improve health care by improving health care information, access to it or utilization of it. 2007 CoursesAdvanced PubMed Class April 27, 2007 10:00am-3:00pm Shields Library, Library Instruction Lab UC Davis Instructor: Kay Deeney, PSR CE Units: 3 Cost: Class is free; parking is $6.00. Register - radavis@ucdavis.edu Designed as an advanced class for experienced MEDLINE searchers. This hands-on class will highlight advanced PubMed techniques that can be used to conduct comprehensive searches. Attendees are encouraged to contribute past and present difficult searches to discuss with the class. Participants will be able to:
The class is normally 3 hours, but an optional 4th hour has been added in response to a suggestion by many previous attendees. Parking is in VP1 or VP2 at UC Davis. The $6.00 ticket needed to park all day can be purchased with cash or credit card from a machine at the entrance to the lot. Driving/Amtrak directions will be posted closer to the date.
